A school resource officer found the Freedom High School student in possession of the knuckles while investigating a tip, county police said.
Police said that "the knuckles were not part of any threat to other students, faculty, or staff."
Officers sought petitions against the boy and after consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in formal action and will be handled through the court process at a later date.
